Abstract
1,254,572. Compositions comprising tris (phosphonoalkyl) amines. PROCTER & GAMBLE CO. 4 March, 1969 [4 March, 1968], No. 11501/69. Heading A5B. A pharmaceutical composition comprises at least one tris (phosphonoalkyl) amine of the formula: in which R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and R 6 (which may be the same or different) are each H or C 1 -C 4 alkyl radicals, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, in admixture with a solid or liquid pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, which carrier is not water alone and does not include a tetracycline antibiotic, a phenolic or quaternary ammonium bactericide or more than 10% by weight of the active compound, of wetting agent. The active ingredient may be in dosage unit form, alone or in admixture with a suitable carrier.
