Abstract
1,254,282. Dropper pinning machine. WOOL INDUSTRIES RESEARCH ASSOCIATION. 29 July, 1969 [30 July, 1968], No. 36221/68. Heading DIM. As the next warp thread t 1 is being separated from the warp t and moved to the position t 2 at which a stop motion dropper is applied to it, it swings a feeler 9 to the left. When the thread rides under the feeler, the feeler returns to the right and is arrested by a hook 7. A cam 11 lifts the hook at the moment that the next separated thread t is due to contact the feeler; if no thread has been separated from the warp t, the feeler swings to the right, thereby operating a microswitch 10 to stop the machine. Another feeler is described for operating on a leased warp.
