Abstract

1,253,348. Feeding sheets. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP. 3 Aug., 1970 [20 Aug., 1969], No. 37353/70. Heading B8R. Sheet feeding apparatus comprises a rotatable member 3 housing a rotary piston, the member and the piston being arranged to rotate at a speed ratio other than unity so that suction is produced periodically at apertures 4 in the outer surface of the member 3. As shown the apparatus is used to separate sheets from the bottom of a pile 1, the separation of more than one sheet being prevented by counter rotating belts 6.
