Abstract
1,252,708. Coated products. SIGRI ELEKTROGRAPHIT G.m.b.H. 12 June, 1970 [1 July, 1969], No. 28692/70. Heading B2E. A substrate such as a steel or brass plate or the internal surface of a tube is coated with a fluid cross-linkable synthetic resin composition containing as filler fibres of carbon and/or graphite and the resin is cured. The composition may be applied in two layers with an intermediate drying stage. The steel plate may be sand-blasted and coated with a synthetic resin bonding agent. The resin in the composition may be thermosetting such as a phenol-formaldehyde or furan resin and the composition may be applied by brushing, spraying or trowelling. The fibres may be from 0.05 mm to 5 cm long.
