Abstract

[Also in Division F2] A member 2 is connected to a hollow member 1 into which it extends via an aperture 3, by a resilient U-shaped clip 5 within the member 1, the limbs of the clip having inturned ends which engage recesses 4 in opposite sides of the member 2, the end of the member 2 lying within the clip. The members 1, 2 may both be tubes of any required cross-section, the clip 5 closing the end of member 2, and the aperture 4 preferably corresponding in shape to the section of the member 2. Lugs 6 on the inturned ends of the clip stabilise the member 2. The connection is applicable to railings, grid facades, or ventilator gratings in air-conditioning plants.
