Abstract
1,250,290. Transformers. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 26 Feb., 1970 [28 Feb., 1969], No. 9267/70. Heading H1T. An arrangement for tuning a high-voltage transformer comprises a core which is closed with the exception of a gap, and has its limbs embraced respectively by primary and secondary windings 3, 4, and a ferrite pin 6 perpendicularly mounted in relation to the axis of one limb and movable in a spacer 5 of non-magnetic material filling the core gap. The ferromagnetic core consists of a U-shaped core part 1 of equal limb length and an I-shaped core part 2, the non-magnetic spacer of plastics material 5 is arranged between the limb of the U-shaped core carrying the primary winding 3 and the I- shaped core, and a ferrite spacing disc 7 having the same thickness as the non-magnetic spacer is arranged between the limb of the U-shaped core carrying the high-voltage winding 4 and the I-shaped core. The ferrite pin and bore, receiving the pin in the spacer, are threaded. The non-magnetic spacer may have a thickness of five millimeters. A compensation winding is arranged under winding 4.
