Abstract

1,249,615. Toy figure with moving arms. G. GIROUD. 12 Feb., 1970 [25 Feb., 1969], No. 6724/70. Heading A6S. A toy doll comprises arms 17 each constituted by an upper arm part engaged in the doll 1, 2 and having lower sections 22 rotatably supported by the upper arm part, and fixed to the ends of cables 15 whose other ends are connected to a common shaft 13 inside the dolls body which shaft is given reciprocating motion by means of crank 12, connecting rod 11 and the electric motor-driven cam system 4-10a. In an alternative embodiment the drive mechanism may comprise a single swing bar whose alternating angular displacement is effected by a crank driven by the motor and whose ends are pivotally connected to cranks which transmit reciprocating motion to the cables by means of cams.
