Abstract

Headings F2G, F2H and F2Q. A solid moulded plastics article or a tubular moulded plastics article having both ends open includes a screw-threaded part which has a thread profile with a step in its trailing flank. In Fig. 1, a nut 8 is screwed on to a bolt 1 having a cylindrical shank 3 and a screw-thread 4 provided with a step 7, as the nut is screwed on to the bolt it is forced on to the step and hence frictionally locked with it. Fig. 4 shows a waste pipe 22 fixed to a waste trap 23 by a coupling 24 having a stepped thread 30, a sealing washer 28 being interposed between the pipe and the trap.
