Abstract

1,249,050. Desiccant packages. W. R. GRACE & CO. 9 Dec., 1969, No. 60126/69. Heading B1L. Desiccant packages which are particularly suitable for hanging against the radiators of motor vehicles, whereby overnight condensation on the electrical components is avoided and the desiccant is subsequently regenerated by the heat from the radiator, comprise a solid desiccant such as silica gel, an activated clay or a molecular sieve, within a rigid container made from a fibrous sheet material which is free from resin. The container is preferably a spirally-wound resin-free paperboard or chipboard cylinder closed by one or more removable plugs; if the desiccant is silica gel containing an indicator, at least one of the plugs is made of a transparent plastics material.
