Abstract

1,247,967. Cable strippers. J. KING. 30 April, 1970 [30 April, 1969], No. 21975/69. Heading H2C. A hollow rotary wire stripper 1 has four limbs 3 chamfered at their free ends 8 to form bevelled cutting edges 10 which, as the wire is inserted, remove any metal lying outside the normal cross-section of the core, e.g. burrs &c. at the cut end of the wire, allowing the edges 10 and longitudinal edges 7 in the cutting zone A to remove the insulating coating from the wire.
