Abstract

1,246,451. Guttering. MOLYNEUX ENG. CO. Ltd. 26 Feb., 1969 [30 Nov., 1967], No. 54440/67. Heading E1B. A roof construction comprises a purlin 19 and a plurality of gutter brackets each comprising a support part 12 for the gutter 13 and a shank 11 which rests intermediate its length on the purlin 19 and engages the underside of a roof panel 31 at its free, inner end 15, the shank 11 being provided with an abutment 14 which engages the purlin 19 to prevent outward displacement of the bracket. The free end 15 may be cranked, as shown, or may carry an adjusting screw (Fig. 3) which bears on the panel 31. The abutment 14 may be welded to or pressed from the shank 11. Alternatively (Fig. 2) the abutment (24, 25) may be adjustably secured to the shank 11 by a bolt (23) engaged through a slot (26) in the abutment. Several abutments or locations for securing abutments may be provided along the length of the shank.
