Abstract
1,246,010. Plant growth regulants containing dithiocarbamate complexes. DOW CHEMICAL CO. 31 Dec., 1969, No. 63523/69. Heading CIB. [Also in Divisions A5 and C2] Compositions for altering plant growth contain as active ingredient metal-containing ethylene- or 1,2-propylene bis-dithiocarbamatealkanolamine complexes; wherein the metal is at least 30 mole per cent zinc,and not more than 70 mole per cent of manganese, nickel, iron, cobalt and copper, the alkanolamine has the formula H(NHCH 2 CH 2 ) n OH, where n is 2 or 3, and the molar ratio of zinc to alkanolamine is from 0.5 : 1 to 16 : 1. The compositions may also contain other active ingredients, e.g. fungicides, preservatives, insecticides, nematocides, fumigants, other pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides.
