Abstract
1,245,696. Reciprocating dispensing pumps. ACU-TECH CORP. Feb.12, 1969 [Feb.21, 1968], No.7700/69. Heading F1A. In a liquid dispensing pump mounted on a container 24 a valve member 38 is frictionally engaged by a rod 42 connected to the pump actuating push button 43 to alternately close the outlet passage 33 of a valve chamber 32 and permit passage of liquid into the pump cylinder 20<SP>A</SP> via slots 41 formed in the chamber walls in a first position, and to seat on the intake seating 39 and open the outlet passage 33 in a second position, Fig.4 (not shown). The push button has a sleeve 43<SP>A</SP> forming a piston slidable in the pump cylinder 20<SP>A</SP>. As shown in Fig.3, openings 48 formed in hollow ribs 47 of the pump cylinder permit passage of air into the container and in the fully raised position the push button 43 can be rotated so that the openings are closed by a ball shaped protruberance 50 formed in the upper surfaces 45<SP>A</SP> of recesses formed in the push button. In this position the push button is locked in position by a stop 51, Fig.10 (not shown) projecting inwardly from the outer wall of slots (49) formed in the push button.
