[Also in Division F2] Acoustic, and/or thermal insulation comprises a flexible polythene container filled with sand or fine loam and hermetically sealed by heat sealing or rolling the end and stapling. The container may be rectangular in shape: or cylindrical. The insulation is placed between the joists of a floor and/or ceiling construction or the lateral webs of a double-wall construction and may be shaped and dimensioned to fit the space into which it is inserted.
