Abstract

1,244,842. Building. K. B. CRITCHLOW. 11 July, 1968 [11 July, 1967], No. 31896/67. Headings E1A and E1W. A building is made up from a plurality of panels which are shaped either all as rhombs of obtuse angle 109‹ 28' or a combination of at least two of the following shapes, rhombs of obtuse angle 109‹ 28' triangles, squares, hexagons and octagons, the edges of the panels, other than those which include ground engaging edges, being of the same length. The building so formed has the external shape of a close-packing solid in 4- fold symmetry or a section of such a solid e.g. truncated octahedron, as shown, made up of two "triangulated" hexagons 10, four "sectioned" "triangulated" hexagons 12, two squares 14 and two "triangulated" squares 16. Other structures are also described. The panels are formed from multi-layer corrugated cardboard or plastics material and are joined to each other by means of inwardly extending flanges which are fastened together by bolts, stapling or glueing. Door and window panels are also shown.
