Abstract

1,244,693. Package for toothpicks. D. R. OUIMET. 22 April, 1969 [3 May, 1968], No. 20569/69. Heading B8C. [Also in Division A5] A toothpick dispenser package comprises a wooden sheet divided into a plurality of toothpicks 12, joined to a base (40), a wrapper 13 completely surrounding the toothpicks and an envelope 10 enclosing the wrapper and toothpicks. The envelope has an openable flap 19 and the wrapper has perforations 14 across the top and down the middle of its front face to facilitate opening. The envelope is formed by folding a cardboard blank (Fig. 3) and the base (40) of the toothpick sheet is secured to the envelope by a staple 15. The toothpicks may be treated in an aromatic solution before packaging.
