A yarn handling device comprises a yarn inlet tube 11 for conveying yarn and entrained air and an air chamber for driving air which chamber ends in an outlet passageway 13 into which the inlet tube 11 extends, the end of the yarn inlet tube terminating within the outlet passageway being castellated and the end of the tube being splayed out but not contacting the walls of the outlet passageway.
