Abstract

1,243,348. Expansion joints. T. J. BERGHMAN. 6 Dec., 1968 [8 Dec., 1967], No. 58014/ 68. Heading E1B. A rubber or plastics sealing strip for joints between building elements has a V-shaped groove to strip in its outer face and fluted edges 12. In a second embodiment the triangular portions 10 have a substantially horizontal upper side and a curved lower side. The strips are pressed into the joints by a wheel rotating and/or vibrating in groove 11. The fluted edges provide drain channels along the joint edges.
