Abstract

1,241,756. Friction clutches. LUK LAMELLEN UND KUPPLUNGSBAU G.m.b.H. 16 April, 1969 [26 April, 1968], No. 19390/69. Heading F2C. In a clutch driven disc wherein friction linings 10a, 10b are riveted at 14 to spring segments 7a, 7a<SP>1</SP> having inwardly projecting lugs 9 riveted at 8 to the clutch hub, at least one spring segment of each pair is radially corrugated and the spring segments of each pair are secured together. As shown both springs segments are radially corrugated and are connected together by a rivet 11. In Fig. 2b (not shown) both spring segments are radially corrugated and are secured together by the rivets 14 which connect the linings to the spring segments. In Fig. 2c (not shown) only one segment of each pair is corrugated and the segments are connected together by the rivets 14 which secure the linings to the segments. Spring tongues (15, 16) bent out of the spring segments support one of the friction linings in the region where the spring segments are riveted to the other friction lining. In Figs. 2d, 4 and 5 (not shown) both spring segments are radially corrugated and portions 22 bent out of one spring segment are secured to the other spring segment by the rivet 14 which connects the other spring segment to its lining. The spring segments may alternatively be welded or stuck together.
