Abstract
1,241,407. Radiation absorbing materials. KEV ELECTRONICS CORP. 8 May, 1970 [4 June, 1969], No. 22255/70. Heading G6R. [Also in Division H1] A flexible X-ray shielding material is formed of particles of lead oxide or tungsten oxide dispersed in black rubber. The composite material is substantially an insulator, but possesses sufficient conductivity to prevent the accumulation of surface charge, rendering it suitable for use as the X-ray shield of a particle accelerator (see Division H1).
