Abstract

1,138,881. Gutter fittings. OSMA PLASTICS Ltd. 1 Nov., 1967 [13 Sept., 1966], No. 40793/66. Heading E1B. A synthetic plastics gutter connector 1 comprises inner member 2 having a flange 16 hooked over lip 8 on the outer member 3, the end of the gutter 6 being engaged between the members and a screw passing through a hole 12 in lip 11 to a screw threaded hole 20 in lug 19 to secure the members together. Sealing strips 7 are provided on the inner surface of the outer member. A screw 23 passes through a depressed portion 21 along the centre of the outer member into a corresponding thickened portion 22 of the inner member. In a modification the inner member has lips extending through slots in the outer member instead of the hook connections. The screw connection between the lip 11 and the lug 19 may be replaced by clips, or wedges or one member may snap fit over the other.
