A bath of synthetic plastic sheet material e.g. polymethyl methacrylate has a turned over rim which is supported by reinforcing strip means e.g. a strip of wood at one or each longitudinal side of the bath the strip means lying in a plane or planes inclined downwardly towards the base of the bath. Each strip means may be bonded to the bath e.g. by means of a bonding compound of glass fibre and synthetic resin.
