Abstract

1,135,181. Degreasing articles. I. F. EYLES [trading as EYLES REFRIGERATION CO. ], Dec.14, 1965 [Sept.18, 1964], No.38155/64 Heading C7E. Articles, such as printed circuits and instrument components, are degreased by disposing them in a hermetically closable vessel, scavenging the vessel of air, passing into the scavenged vessel liquid grease solvent to flow over the articles and leading off contaminated liquid solvent, then solvent vapour to condense on the articles until they attain the temperature of the vapour and leading off contaminated condensate, then extracting any residual solvent in the vessel prior opening the vessel and removing articles. The contaminated solvent or condensate may be recycled through a boiler and condenser. C 2 F 3 CP 3 is suitable as a solvent.
