Abstract

1,131,284. Anti-dazzle spectacles. A. ABPLANALP. June 13, 1966 [June 25, 1965; Dec.8, 1965], Nos. 27120/65 and 45926/65. Heading G2J. Anti-dazzle spectacles are provided with filters each of which comprises a substantially opaque or translucent grid of parallel strips 2 or a single spiral strip, the strips or convolutions having a width of from 0À4 mm. to 1 mm. and being separated by transparent portions 2 having a width of from 0À2 mm. to 3À5 mm. Each filter is provided with a transparent portion 3 which extends completely across the filter so that the wearer can obtain an unobstructed view by tilting his head. Each filter is formed from a sheet of opaque or translucent material provided with throughgoing slots or from a transparent sheet, on which the strip or strips is or are impressed or coated.
