Abstract

1,130,597. Terminal boards. KABELWERK MEISSEN VEB. 23 May, 1966, No. 22893/66. Heading H2E. Each of an array of carrier plates 3 carries an insulating block 4 with terminal elements 11 along its length and a designation strip 5 and slides in guides 2, so that the wire which is to be connected to each terminal element may be soldered, bound, screwed or wound on to it outside the housing 1, before the plate is slid into position with the slack part of the wire forming a loop 26 behind it. Cable 17 is supported by bracket 18 and rings 19 and the insulated wires from it passed through openings in the plates 3, inserted into angular or S-shaped slots in the blocks 4 and connected to the terminals. The terminals may be notched soldering pins 11, rectangular winding pins, binding posts, sleeves or screw terminal plates. In the last case the plates 3 support the terminals directly. Each terminal may accommodate two wires 15, and the same type of plate 3 may be used with terminal blocks 4 having rectangular pins, soldering pins and binding posts.
