Abstract

1,129,167. Cathode-ray tube circuits. E. K. COLE Ltd. 19 Jan., 1967 [21 Jan., 1966], No. 2789/66. Heading H4T. [Also in Division H1] A degaussing coil for a colour cathode-ray tube also acts as a magnetic screen. The coil is of magnetic material and is wound with its turns coaxially about the tube bulb. The magnetic material is pre-coated with P.V.C. and the coil is wound on a plastics former of such shape that room is left for the anode lead of the tube. The coil may be fixed to the former mechanically or by an adhesive. An n.t.c. thermistor is connected in shunt with the coil.
