Abstract
1,128,709. Sectional boats. W. W. WINDLE. 12 July, 1967, No' 32011/67. Heading B7A. In a boat formed by a series of inter-engaging sections, each section (see sections 12 and 14 in Fig. 3) including bottom and side walls connected by forward and rear transverse walls 44, 46, interengaging means between the sections comprise studs 48 mating with sockets 52 to prevent lateral motion of the sections relative to each other, blocks 56, 58 co-operating to prevent relative motion in a vertical direction, and a spring 64 automatically engaging a shoulder 72 on the block 58 to connect the sections 12, 14 and temporarily hold them against relative motion in a fore-and-aft direction.
