Abstract

1,126,658. Herbicides containing nitrophenols. PECHINEY PROGIL. 29 Nov., 1966 [30 Nov., 1965], No. 53440/66. Heading A5E. A herbicide comprises 2, 4-dinitro-6-t-butyl phenol or a salt thereof in an inert solid carrier or in a liquid diluent containing a surfactant. Optionally another nitro-derivative of phenol or an alkylated phenol may be present. The invention comprises a method for destroying weeds in a cereal crop by the application of the active ingredient per se.
