Abstract

1,123,650. Cartridge-actuated tools. HILTI A.G. 14 July, 1967 [8 Sept., 1966], No. 32409/67. Heading B4C. A cartridge-actuated tool for driving fasteners, such as nails, into hard material, comprises a plunger 9 slidable in a barrel 3 which is pivotably mounted on an extension 2 of a handle 1, and a catch 16 movable in the barrel and pivotally connected by a link 20 to the extension such that when the tool is opened the catch moves the plunger from its end driving position to its starting position. A cartridge ejector 35 is provided with an end 35b adapted to strike a surface 30a on a spring-loaded pin 30 when the tool is opened for re-loading.
