Abstract

1,122,562. Releasable fastenings. SEAL SAFE CO. Ltd. 6 Sept., 1965 [4 June, 1964], No. 23132/64. Heading E2A. A locking arrangement for a safe includes a double acting cupboard lock 1 i.e. a multilever lock of which the bolt 2 is movable from a position projecting from one side of its casing to a position projecting from another side, and a frame 5 mountable in or on the safe door and having side members 5a, 5b which lie in the path of the lock bolt 2 to be engaged thereby and dislodged sideways in each direction by respective movement of the bolt the said frame having members 6 adapted, in use to make bolting engagement with the adjacent safe wall 9 or a part 10 or parts secured thereto. When the members 6 make engagement with the safe wall openings 8 are provided in the wall. The frame slides in two guides 7, 12 one of which engages the members 6 and the other of which engages an extension 11 of the frame.
