Abstract
A sealing gasket composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a rubber elastomer and 1 to 15 parts by weight of a mixture of fatty acid amides consisting predominantly of 9-octadecenamide. In the examples a butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber is mixed with an amide mixture comprising 91% oleamide, 3% linoleamide and 6% stearamide, globule and chain-type carbon blacks, ZnO, stearic acid, coumarone-indene resin, phthalic anhydride, sulphur, a plasticizer and an accelerator. The compositions are cured by heating.
