Abstract

The invention comprises fibrous articles at least part of the fibres being dyed with a fast dye and at least part of the fibres being dyed with a indicator dye capable of colour change in response to pH variation. In Examples cotton and viscose fibrous materials are dyed with fast dyes and indicator dyes giving rise to fibrous articles a part of which when treated in acid or alkali will alter in colour.
