Abstract

112,111. Lea, W. C. Aug. 30, 1917. Cutters. - Wire-cutters, pruning-shears, &c. comprise a pair of cutting-jaws 1, 2 pivoted together at 3 and formed with crossed tail-pieces 4, 5 pivoted at 6, 7 to levers 8, 9 pivoted at 10, 11, to a connecting-link or pair of links 12, the pivots 6, 7 being below the pivots 10, 11 as shown in Fig. 1. The ends of the levers are preferably cylindrical and toothed so as to gear one with the other. The levers may be folded back as shown in Fig. 4 to reduce the size of the device for carrying. The levers 8, 9 are provided with suitable handles 16, 17.
