Abstract

1,121,062. Reservoir pads and squeegees. INVICTA PLASTICS Ltd. 3 Jan., 1966 [1 Oct., 1964], No. 39917/64. Heading A4K. In an applicator having a hand-held liquid container 2 and a valve for interrupting the liquid flow, a spray head is used to deposit an even layer of liquid on the surface to be cleaned. On squeezing polyethylene container 2, a spray is formed in atomising chamber 9 and is discharged through hole 9a and valve ports 4b, 8b. On removing cleaning head 4 and replacing it back to front, ports 4b and 8b are separated by 180 degrees to interrupt the liquid flow. Foam plastic pad 6 and rubber squeegee blade 5 are used for cleaning smooth surfaces and, when the liquid contains anti-freezing material, they may be used for removing ice from windows. Blade 5 may be replaced by a brush for use in cleaning upholstery.
