[Also in Division B5] A tool-holder comprises a helical duct 17, Fig. 1, and a shield 14 to direct gaseous or liquid coolant to the tool tip 13. The tool may be for boring, shaping, grinding or trueing. It may be of diamonds, carbide or tool steel. Coolant is supplied to rotary tools through a stationary annular sleeve 103, Fig. 6.
