Abstract

1,120,046. Tissue dispenser box. CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL PAPER CO. 12 April, 1966 [12 April, 1965], No. 15914/66. Heading B8P. A box 10 dispensing interleaved facial tissues or paper napkins has a flap 21 hingedly connected to the front wall 14 by a score line 22, said flap 21 having a preferably oval aperture 19 through which tissues can be pulled and, like the flap 21, formed by removing a section by tearing along a line of weakening. The flap 21 which, on removing a tissue, is raised until it catches against the box top 11, allows the aperture 19 always to overlie the tissues closely and so ensure the necessary frictional engagement between successive tissues to cause each tissue to pull a succeeding tissue into the aperture 19 ready for subsequent removal. By removing the flap 21 entirely from the interior of the box (Figs. 5, 9, not shown) a number of tissues may be manually removed as a unit through the opening 30.
