Abstract

1,119,393. Conductivity cells. MAWDSLEY'S Ltd. June 27, 1967 [June 27, 1966], No.28656/66 Heading G1N. A detector head for determining the concentration of solid particles in a flowing fluid comprises a conducting pipe section 2 forming the live electrode and mounted between two insulating pipe sections 3 for connecting in a pipe-line. The earth electrode is formed by the pipe-line or by short conducting sections 4 either side of the insulating section. The insulating sections are lined with abrasionresistant rubber and may be joined to the adjacent sections by insulatingly bushed flanges Fig. 2 (not shown) or compression sleeve joints Fig. 3 (not shown).
