Abstract

1.118,928. Frame corner joints. B. H. TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. 8 Oct., 1965 [22 Oct., 1964], No. 43116/64. Heading E1J. A method of connecting together hollow frame members of synthetic plastics material at the corners of a window frame or the like consists in forming the ends of each member 1 with longitudinal recesses, grooves 2 or the like and engaging therein the limbs of an angle bracket 3 having yielding protuberances or tongues 4 to have contact therein so that the members abut, the contacting surfaces at the open end of the members 1 being coated with resin to effect adhesion. Two brackets may be used to join the members. In a modification the grooves are formed by fitting 'the ends of the members I with inserts which combine with the inside face thereof to form grooves 2.
