Abstract

A tree wound dressing comprises an admixture of anhydrous lanolin, glycerol, an anionic surfactant and phenyl mercuric nitrate. A dyestuff optionally may be included. The composition gives protection against fungi, mites, insects and bacteria, and also may be painted on the legs of beehives to prevent the entry of ants and mites.
