Abstract

1,117,007. Control of D.C. motors. COMPAGNIE ELECTRO-MECANIQUE. 21 Sept., 1965 [21 Sept., 1964], No. 40277/65. Heading H2J. A D.C. motor, e.g. in a washing machine, is supplied with rectified A.C. via a thyristor having a switch in its control electrode interlocked with a reversing switch so that the thyristor is " off" during operation of the reversing switch which thus never makes or breaks current. The motor has a disc type armature and a permanent magnet field. Switch operation is effected by cams in a programme device.
