Abstract
1,115,741. Stoves; heating water. DRAYSLEY Ltd. 1 June, 1965 [13 March, 1964], No. 10781/64. Headings F4A and F4W. In under-fed boiler fires of the type disclosed in Specification 1,019,611, a fuel store 11 and a motor unit 12 providing the drive for fuel and air are disposed outside a cavity wall 50 of the building heated by the fire, while a removable U-shaped secondary air pipe 25 formed of stainless steel extends from an air intake 25 through a combustion chamber 18, its curved end 32 opening downwardly directly above the firebowl 19. A dual air control comprises a primary air control disc 35 mounted in a tube 36 extending forwardly through a plenum chamber 27 to a control knob 37, and a screw-threaded rod 40 affixed to a member 42 in the passage 25 extending across a sleeve valve 43, an orifice therein being adjustably aligned with the lower end of the secondary air pipe 29. A top flueway for combustion gases. Fig. 4 (not shown), comprises two lower tubes (71), (74) connected rearwardly via vertical passages (75) with the combustion chamber 18 and forwardly with a chamber (88) whereinto also extend two upper tubes (72), (73) providing a rearward passage for the gases to a flue (82) the lower end of which is closed by a trap-door (85).
