Abstract

1,115,651. Vehicle signals. M. SHERRIFF. 8 June, 1965 [5 March, 1964], No. 9291/64. Heading G4Q. A signal lamp, which may be green, is mounted on a vehicle on or adjacent to a driving mirror and is in series with a flasher unit, its purpose being to indicate to a following vehicle that it may overtake. The lamp is operated by a hand-operated switch, spring-biased to an off-position. In one embodiment, the lamp is attached to an arm upon which a driving mirror is mounted, and in another, is incorporated in the driving mirror, part of which is coloured instead of being silvered.
