Abstract

1,115,486. Weld nuts. SCREW & BOLT CORPORATION OF AMERICA. 21 July, 1965 [30 July, 1964], No. 30969/65. Heading F2H. [Also in Division B3] A weld nut 10 is centred over an aperture in a workpiece W by an upper electrode 20 having a conical contact face 27, which abuts a similar face on the upper surface of the nut, the included angle # being between 70 and 100 degrees. The electrode 20 is moved by an air cylinder 21, and has a cooling water duct 23.
