<FORM:1111830/C2/1> <FORM:1111830/C2/2> <FORM:1111830/C2/3> Novel compounds of the Formula I, wherein X is an oxygen or sulphur atom or an N-alkylated nitrogen atom, R is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic, aromatic or araliphatic hydrocarbon radical, or an acyl radical, or an acyloxy - substituted aliphatic hydrocarbon radical or a hydroxy group, and n is 2 or 3, are prepared by reacting a compound of the Formula II with an aldehyde of the Formula III, wherein Y is a hydrogen atom or a nitro group, and, when Y is a hydrogen atom, subsequently nitrating the product.
