Abstract

A voltage monitoring circuit comprises a differential amplifier (such as transistors Tr1, Tr2) the differential outputs of which are interconnected via a pair of diodes D1, D2 in opposition, the series arrangement of a tunnel diode and a variable voltage source being connected between the junction of the diodes and the supply voltage. The range of monitored voltage between which the tunnel diode triggers is adjustable by simultaneous variation of the emitter resistors R 9/2 or by adjustment of U1 The steps at A may be differentiated so as to provide pulses of opposite polarity to indicate whether the monitored voltage has increased or decreased in relation to the reference voltage Uv.
