Abstract

The invention comprises 9,10-dimethyloctahydro - 1,8 - naphthyridine. The compound can be prepared by reducing with hydrogen, in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst, 3-acetyl-3-methyl-pimelonitrile. The preferred catalyst is Raney nickel.
