Abstract

[Also in Division H2] In an amusement machine, an inserted coin 15 serves as the armature of a linear induction motor 10 and thereby conveyed to a hopper 21. The coins are fed from the bottom of a stack in tube 22 by the armature 27 of a second induction motor 26 under the control of a prize delivery mechanism. Normally, the lowermost coin is held in position by a spring-loaded flap 25. A vibrator 24 is mounted on the hopper. When the hopper is full, additional coins are diverted to a second receptacle.
