Abstract

1,110,798. Air cushion vehicles. HOVERCRAFT DEVELOPMENT Ltd. 19 Aug., 1965 [21 Aug., 1964], No. 34413/64. Heading B7K. An air cushion vehicle has a flexible skirt 4 comprising an upper portion 5 which is secured to the vehicle at 8 and 10 and is inflated by air which enters at 15 and is discharged at 16 to flow down the inner wall of a lower component 6 to issue as a gas curtain 18. The component 6 comprises a plurality of contiguous members of U-shape on section IV-IV attached to portion 5 by flexible strips 7a, 7b all laced together by nylon cords.
