Abstract

1,110,057. Photographic apparatus. EASTMAN KODAK CO. April 29, 1965 [April 29, 1964], No.18086/65. Headings G2A and G2E. A film strip is drawn through photographic apparatus by a flexible take-up member 6 which is attached to a spool and which had a slot 6a. The leading edge of the film engages in the slot 6a and is bent back upon itself as it is drawn through the apparatus. In a camera, Fig.1 (not shown), a cassette is loaded through an aperture 1a in the camera base and the leading edge of the film initially projects through a slot in the back of the camera. A plate 9 is moved to cover the aperture and slot and thereby bend back the leading edge of the film and possibly trim it before the take-up member 6 draws it into the camera. It is stated that the device can be applied to cinematographic cameras or projectors.
