Abstract

1,109,151. Electric insulators. PERMALI Ltd. 20 April, 1965 [21 Jan., 1964], No. 2577/64. Heading H2C. The insulating tie rod shown comprises an insulating mandrel 2, metal end members tightly fitted permanently into the ends of the tube and a winding of glass fibres which is wound over the mandrel and waisted portions 8 in the metallic end fittings. The mandrel may be made of resinimpregnated paper tubing or of reinforced synthetic resin, e.g. glass fibre and epoxide or polyester resin.
